I can’t express enough my gratitude and pride for your planning and hospitality already! God is present, the Holy Spirit is moving, and the Christian Church in Arizona is about to unite in our space! It will be a fabulous weekend, and you have helped to make it so!
Here are a few reminders from a regional email to help enhance your Assembly experience.
Bilingual Event
Regional Assembly is a BILINGUAL event, with both Spanish and English spoken from the stage. There will be three methods of translation used at various times (not all at the same time):
- Translated text on the screen for you to read
- Back and forth translation (for business and other brief announcements – not for stories, sermons, etc.), where the same thing will be said in both Spanish and English.
- Translation through headphones. PLEASE NOTE: EVERYONE needs to bring their cell phone AND headphones/earbuds if you want to be able to hear the translation. You will dial into Free Conference Call (605-313-5532 – use access code 2567259 when prompted) and put your headphones/earbuds on to listen to translation.
(Note from Brett: We believe that your hearing aids should work as well if you treat it like you would a phone call.)
Report and Docket
All adults who registered before October 1 will receive a printed 2026 Regional Assembly Report and Docket at check-in. You can access the digital version by clicking the image or this link: azdisciples.org/2026-assembly-booklet/.
The report and docket includes our full schedule, workshops, order of worship for Saturday, and so much more!
Coffee from Costa Rica
Our guest musicians, Hector Soto & Daniel Montoya, founded a mission in Costa Rica that includes a language school and a coffee farm. They grow, harvest, process, and roast their own coffee. They are providing all of the coffee for our Assembly. They will also have bags of coffee for sale at the Assembly. They accept cash and Venmo and will be available at their coffee table when they are not on stage leading music.
Final notes from Brett: It might be helpful if Sun City Christian Church parked in the back lot and used the library entrance. Those needing handicap and closer parking continue to park as is most convenient. If you have a SCCC Polo shirt, please wear it on Saturday. And please contact Marcia or me if you have any questions heading into the weekend!
Brett
