Online Safety & Scam Prevention

Have you ever received calls or texts from an unknown number selling you something that seems too good to be true? What about emails or physical mail claiming or demanding payment? Scam artists and fraudsters look for ways to take advantage of consumers. Even online dating, while it can be a helpful way to meet people, also carries real risks, including scams, harassment, and identity theft, so staying alert and protecting your personal information is essential.
Internet safety plays an important role in the modern digital world and the risks involved in online interactions are always evolving astechnology advances.
Adults and children alike need to take the initiative to protect themselves online to address these issues. As people spend more of their time online, there is a greater chance that predators, criminals, and even fraudsters can take advantage of them.
Nancy Juarez, Community Engagement Coordinator, with the Arizona Attorney General’s Office will be presenting information on how to protect yourself from fraud, the warning signs that it might be a scam, and common scams to look out for.

Join us each third Wednesday of the month for a special guest speaker and life interest class.

You’re invited to the weekly Wednesday Workout at Sun City Christian Church every Wednesday at 11:00 am. Bella leads a 30-minute class for men and women at every level. We work on stretching, breathing, and gentle muscle support all while having fun.

Bella aka Deb Bell arrived in Sun City in October 2024. On her first Sunday here, she came to Sun City Christian Church and immediately felt at home.
Bella has a passion for aqua aerobics, boxing, weight lifting, chair yoga, and helping others live their best life. She has taught various classes at 24Hour Fitness gyms and Lutheran Senior Services.

Each week folks will touch base about life, celebrating highs and lows, and encouraging each other through whatever it is we currently face.
