“Max and Jenine Bacon”

Sunday, January 29, 2017 – 3:00 PM

Following in the family tradition of Branson, Missouri music shows, Max and Jenine Bacon have just finished their twenty-seventh season of performing in the music show mecca of the Ozark Mountains. They are a family favorite of wholesome, toe-tapping entertainment.

Max and Jenine, along with their family, have been the featured group on THE SUNDAY GOSPEL JUBILEE and THE OZARK MOUNTAIN JUBILEE at the Grand Country Music Hall in Branson. During the off-season, and selected dates throughout the year, Max and Jenine travel around the country doing programs in concert halls, R.V. parks, churches, and other venues.

With the Bacons will be long-time Branson guitarist Mike Arledge. In addition to playing in Branson, Mike has toured the country with many Nashville stars. The program will feature toe-tapping gospel as well as a few country and folk classics.

Tickets are not required and everyone is welcome. A free will offering will be received  and we invite you to stay after and enjoy light refreshments. Doors will open at 2:00 p.m.

“The Monday Group” – Band Performance

Tuesday, April 5, 2016 – 6:00 PM

Sun City Christian Church welcomes the opportunity to host a performance by “The Monday Group” on Tuesday evening, April 5 at 6:00 p.m. in our sanctuary.

“The Monday Group” band began 14 years ago in leader Rena Floyd’s backyard. Five friends and neighbors got together to play their instruments and surrounding neighbors gathered to listen. Several members have come and gone since that original gathering of five. Their name originated from their scheduled practice time; every Monday morning year-round.  Many members began playing instruments after their retirement.

The talented group, including two of our church family members (Pat Winter & Sharon McNeal), consists of four fiddlers, one banjo player, four guitarists, two ukulele players, two mandolin players, two harmonica players, a base ukulele player and a drummer/singer. They specialize in Blue Grass music but also enjoy playing Gospel songs, love songs (for February), Irish (for March), patriotic and Christmas music.

They perform for adult care centers, retirement homes, churches, festivals or wherever their 15 to 20 members will fit. They never take payment for their performances. They love to see the joy their music brings to others, especially when the audiences sing along. Light refreshments will be served after the performance.

Your donation of a non-perishable food item for Valley View Community Food Bank will be greatly appreciated.

Lynn Drye – Glass Instrument VirtuosoColor
